22nd May 2026: At Global Supply Chain Support Fund (GSC Support Fund), we are delighted to announce that we are now a 2X Challenge Qualified Investment in the 2X Challenge 2024-2027.
In August 2025, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan’s governmental agency for official development assistance, announced an investment of USD 40 Million into Aavishkaar Capital’s ‘Global Supply Chain Support Fund’ to support enterprises across Asia and Africa to unlock inclusive and sustainable growth. Following JICA’s investment, the Global Supply Chain Support Fund (GSC Support Fund) has now been recognized as a 2X Challenge Qualified Investment, affirming our commitment to inclusive growth and women’s economic empowerment.
The 2X Challenge 2024-2027 is a collective commitment by Participating Investors that aims to unlock at least US$20 billion over three years. Qualified Investments are investments made by Participating Investors that align to the 2X Criteria, are formally qualified by the 2X Challenge Working Group and are reported to 2X Global.
The Global Supply Chain Support Fund (GSC Support Fund), is a 220 Million USD, Structured Credit fund managed by Aavishkaar Capital (part of the Aavishkaar Group) and supported by KfW, the German Development Bank and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan’s Governmental Agency, that is investing in enterprises across Africa and Emerging Asia to unlock inclusive and sustainable growth.

2X Criteria is the global industry standard for assessing and structuring investments that provide women with leadership opportunities, quality employment, finance, enterprise support, and products and services that enhance economic participation and access. They have been widely adopted by investors, financial intermediaries and companies as well as other stakeholders worldwide to assess and monitor gender-lens investments, unifying investors under one framework and language.
